New Federal Regulations on E-Cigarettes and Nicotine – Can They Banning It Be Stopped?
The most recent news surrounding the planet of electronic cigarettes and vapors is that kids are getting hooked on them in the same way readily as adults. While it’s hard to argue that the flavorings along with other additives in the smokes aren’t dangerous, they may be quite addictive and create issues with quitting. It’s very problematic for a person to give up smoking without experiencing the withdrawal symptoms that are so synonymous with the physical act of smoking. That is why it can be so important to educate teens concerning the serious health risks of teenage smoking and the dangers of e smokers using electric cigarettes.
So what does this all mean for smoking cessation products? To begin with, we need to start paying more attention to the way the companies that produce these products are promoting them. There is no doubt that many companies have pulled out the advertising money from television ads along with other media in an effort to not only attract new customers but to get rid of the smokers that are already hooked. In a world where youth smoking is reaching all-time highs, companies that provide vaporizers along with other smoking cessation products should do a lot more than promote their product.
As a society we have come to depend on the cigarettes and vapors as our primary type of nicotine delivery. E cigarettes and other nicotine delivery systems have always been associated with smoking and being a drug. We’ve all grown up believing that smoking is cool, normal, best for your body and that there’s nothing wrong with it. That is why we end up getting patches, gums, lollipops and other nicotine replacement therapies. Even when it involves long-term smoking cessation, we still put our rely upon products that mimic cigarettes.
In light of this it’s pretty clear that the cigarettes along with other smoking cessation products must be viewed much more closely. Wish new product appears like a cigarette doesn’t mean that it’s going to work just like a cigarette. The fact is that e cigarettes and other nicotine delivery systems are not safe. They are not clear of the same cancer-causing compounds and nicotine toxicities that cigarettes are. It is critical to understand this if we want to minimize the impact of the cigarettes and vaping health threats.
The most typical type of e cigarette and one of the first smoking cessation products to gain wide public approval was the blu-ray. It looked and smelled such as a real cigarette and was likely to help smokers kick the habit by mimicking the physical act of lighting a cigarette. The truth is neither the blue screen of the Blu-ray nor the specific act of lighting a cigarette can make you stop smoking. In fact, people who used e cigarettes or vapes and did not light up found it hard to stop. This was immediately apparent in the number of people trying to quit using these products.
The FDA eventually received several reports concerning the negative side-effects produced by the utilization of these e cigarettes and Puff Bar decided to ban them. But they didn’t completely eradicate them from the marketplace. Instead, the federal government encouraged manufacturers to add a nicotine-reducing ingredient called the NRT in these products. The problem with this nicotine-reduction formula is that it generally does not reduce smoking simply by itself.
This is not the only real problem the Feds had with Vaping health. Many state and local governments felt that the Vaping health system was being abused. State and local municipalities were closing down the stores that offered Vaping products and claiming that the smokers were simply using these products as a way to get around the smoking laws. In the end the FDA announced that they would be regulating the cigarettes and NRT just as they regulate tobacco products.
The bottom line is that there is without doubt that the FDA and the Eiffel tower were correct in banning the sale of these products. But we ought to also take into account that smokers are able to use a vaporizer while they are smoking. The new FDA regulations on the cigarettes and NRT will not change this fact. So essentially, the brand new FDA regulation banning the sale of fruit flavored and herbal flavored e cigarettes will do little to help us quit smoking.
